BuyFromAChristian.com seeks to give to God that portion which is rightfully His- 10%. The Bible clearly states that Christians are to return this portion to God, and it is the purpose of this website to do just that- with a twist. We seek to allow sellers (those who sell products or service listings on our site) to choose their local church or a preferred non-denominational Christian charity or organization where 10% of their payment to our website will be directed. We feel this is Biblically based and will benefit God’s kingdom! Also, this will encourage churches to tell their members about this site, in essence potentially gaining more money for their own church budgets. Again, we feel this is the right thing to do, and it will follow sound Biblical principles set forth by God. It also blesses all churches whose members use BuyFromAChristian.com.
The premise is simple. Whenever an individual lists a product or service, all fees from that individual to the website will be logged and 10% will be returned to that individual’s chosen church or Christian entity! As an important note, buyers will NOT choose a church or Christian organization. The website collects a percentage of the sale of an item, which will be considered part of the fee from an individual SELLER, 10% of which fee will go to a seller’s chosen church or Christian organization.
We feel this encourages people to want to use the site, knowing they can bless God’s kingdom with the click of a mouse. Those who potentially do not wish to choose a church or Christian organization will not be allowed to list a product or service without clicking on one of several default large Christian organizations or charities- so that 10% will be assigned from everyone. This will expose people to the important principle of tithing, and with links on “How to become a Christian” and others, hopefully expose some to the Lord who never before considered Him or His principles.
All churches and organizations will obviously not be able to be listed at the outset of this website. However, users will be able to upload their church (with full name and address to be approved by the website), so that their profile will always be linked to this church (this can be changed to another church or organization at any time by the user). Over time, our hope is that many if not all churches will be listed so that you can find your church with a few clicks of a mouse!
It is impossible to verify the validity and beliefs of all churches and organizations. We will contribute 10% to all website-approved United States churches and Christian organizations (again designated by a particular seller; hopefully someday website will expand to support churches and organizations outside the United States); however, we reserve the right to refuse certain churches and organizations if complaints are filed and concerns are raised as to the true validity and belief system of a particular church or organization. The website (and its owner Buy From A Christian, LLC) does not guarantee the belief system or address of all churches. We will do our best to support only Christian entities, and will pull support at our discretion for any group that we are led to believe is not Christian.
Of note, it is the current plan of the website to make payments to churches and Christian organizations on a biannual or annual schedule. The website has the right to change this payment schedule at its own discretion. Also, the website will withhold from the total amount owed to a particular church or entity the current amount for postage fees. Finally, checks will not be released until a threshold amount of $25.00 or more is owed to a particular church or Christian organization to prevent the mailing of potentially small sums of money. Each time the website's check disbursement schedule is reached, all money owed (that surpasses the $25.00 minimum amount) will be mailed to that church or organization. If a church is owed less than $25.00, this amount will continue to accumulate until the $25.00 minimum is reached and a check will be mailed at the next check disbursement date.
